We just got home from Lights at the Zoo.  Macy wore her Santa shirt for the occasion and of coarse her snack cup goes everywhere full of cheerios!

It was freezing, but we all had a good time.  Luckily we went early and packed a sandwich for Macy’s dinner.  Even all bundled up and overwhelmed with lights, our little girl won’t let go of her sandwich!  We also learned that if she eats a sandwich while she’s wearing mittens she takes smaller bites…we might have to try that indoors sometime. 😉

The lights were beautiful.  Unfortunately my camera hates me, so a lot of my pictures didn’t turn out very well.  Here is a little preview…

Most of the animal exhibits were closed or too dark to see, but the lions were out enjoying the cool weather.

Macy saw some rabbits, a cow, and chickens at the farm.  I think it was a little overwhelming for her to see some of these “book” animals move around in front of her.  She’ll definitely love future trips to the zoo.  In this picture she was looking at the chickens…I think they were her favorite animal!

We had to stop by my school’s “postcard”…I’m not biased or anything, but it was one of the most beautiful pieces there!

She was completely mesmorized by the lights and music….

but she managed to finish her sandwich in the hour we were there.  🙂

Next year I think we’ll take extra bundling measures like a blanket for her lap and thicker socks (her poor little toes were FREEZING!).  It was a great night and I can’t wait for our next trip to the zoo. 🙂
