Pumpkin Day

I want to start creating family traditions, so Pumpkin Day was born.  I decided that on the day we went to the pumpkin patch, we’d also bake some pumpkin treats.  We started the day with whole wheat pumpkin and chocolate chip muffins.



I also made pumpkin cookies with cinnamon cream cheese icing that were AMAZING!  We couldn’t go to the pumpkin patch until after lunch…and anyone with small children knows that going into public in that little window of time between lunch and nap time is dangerous.  Guess who fell asleep in the car…

 
Once we got out and the kids could run among the pumpkins, they all had a great time!


 




 

 
It was a great day!  I think we’ll have more fun as they get older and can help me with all of the pumpkin baking. 😉
