I got two bouquets of beautiful flowers in the same day! My sweet grandmother sent flowers and Doug brought early Valentine roses home. I’m so spoiled! 😉 Grandmommy KK’s flowers (the big pink daisys are my favorites!) My roses from Doug…I love love love the colors!!! Yep, very spoiled! 😉

SC Snow
Mom and Dad warned me that snow was on the way, but I didn’t think that we would get as much as we did. I think SC has had snow and ice once each since I moved here in 2001…that is until the past 3 weeks. We had ice the first weekend I was home… Continue reading SC Snow
Macy's first daytime trip to the zoo
Doug and I gave Macy a zoo membership for Christmas this year. We were able to use it to see the lights at the zoo, but since we both work during the day and our weekends have been cold and rainy, we haven’t been able to make a trip during the day. Luckily for Macy,… Continue reading Macy's first daytime trip to the zoo
Bubbles!
One of Macy’s favorite things to do with her Omie is to play with bubbles. She has always loved bubbles wherever she saw them, so getting to play with them is awesome! 🙂
February 15
Steven was wide awake when I got to the hospital today. He had the same nurse as yesterday, so I got to play mom again…love it! He nursed about 10 mins before he really started getting sleepy. By the time he burped, he was finished and wouldn’t open his mouth to try again no matter… Continue reading February 15
Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope everyone has had a great Valentine’s Day. I have had an awesome day. Karen came in town so she went to the hospital with me this morning so Steven could meet his “Aunt KK”. It was nice for me to snag a little Karen time too! Karen filled her phone memory with pictures… Continue reading Happy Valentine's Day!
Swaddling master
Steven slept through our nursing session this afternoon, but his bilirubin went down half a point to 10 so I gave him a break. After we cuddled for a while I put him back in his isolette and swaddled him to perfection. 😉 Granted, little sleeping babies are MUCH easier to swaddle than full term… Continue reading Swaddling master
Forgotten announcement
I forgot to tell everyone (and mostly remind myself for his baby book) that Steven’s umbilical cord fell off on Wednesday! That’s one perk of having a NICU baby…not having to deal with the umbilical cord! (I’m also trying to convince his nurses to teach him to not pee or poop while he’s having his… Continue reading Forgotten announcement
Valentine from our baby boy
This was on the end of Steven’s bed today when I went to see him. I almost cried right there. All the babies either had their hand or foot prints on a card for their parents. So sweet!
HUGE DOG
I pulled up next to this truck after I left the hospital today and this beast of a dog popped up! He was huge and adorable! It makes me nervous to see a dog in the back of a truck so I was glad to see this dog disappear again once traffic started moving. You… Continue reading HUGE DOG
