Dad decided to get up this morning and head back to MS since the weather looked like it would get frosty and he had to get back to work on Monday.  He left about 7, so mom was hanging out after he left when the power went out at 7:30.  Normally that wouldn’t be too big of a deal, but I needed to pump at 8:30 and that’s hard to do without electricity.  The incredible lactation consultant at the hospital had told me that they had a pumping room in the NICU that I could use anytime I was there, so Doug and I decided to take the milk I had in the freezer and head to the hospital.  The lactation consultant wasn’t there yet, so Steven’s nurse got everything I needed and showed me where the pumping room was.
It actually worked out perfectly.  The weather didn’t cooperate for us to go to the hospital tonight, so if we hadn’t gone this morning I might be really emotionally unstable right now.  Hopefully the power will stay on through the night and the ice will melt really quickly in the morning so we can get back to see our little man! 🙂

What does Sweet Macy think about all this? Has she gotten to go see him yet??
No, she won’t be able to see him until he comes home. We’re going to take more video of him that she can watch, but that’s as close as she’ll get. She knows something’s going on…mommy was in a weird place for a week and we went to visit her…now she’s home, but she won’t pick me up…but she doesn’t know what has changed. Thank goodness for Grams!!!! Grams keeps her very distracted. 🙂 It will be very interesting to see how she reacts when he comes home (prayers please!!) 🙂
I have been praying for you continuously! I pray for baby Stephen but also for you, Doug, and Macy. May God give you great strength during this time. Let me know if you need anything!
