Zoo with Grams and Oppie

My dad hasn’t been to our zoo yet, so we decided to go while he was here over the weekend (we were hoping that if he had enough fun that he’d forget mom was supposed to be going home with him…our plan failed).  We had a great day at the zoo  showing Oppie some of our favorite animals.
Of coarse the first thing Oppie saw at the zoo was an airplane.

This was the highlight of my day…this sign was on the outside of one of the bird cages.  Cracked me up!

Macy’s favorite animals at the zoo are on the coke machines.  She likes getting to touch them.


The “mingoes” are always a favorite…I think she likes them because they’re pink.


Our zoo also has a baby giraffe that was born a few weeks ago (he’s in the background…too cute!).

We didn’t make it over to the Botanical Gardens, but even the flowers in the zoo were gorgeous!  It motivates me to want to garden (even with my black thumb).
I don’t know what kind of tree this is, but I love it.

Their tulips were beautiful!

Another great day at the zoo!  I’m sure there will be many more to come! 🙂
