I realized the other day that my 3 month old sleeps in a baby papazan chair and my almost 2 year old sleeps in a pack n play….what do my kids have against regular beds?! Steven has started sleeping in his bassinett a little this weekend, so now we’re determined to get Macy in some sort of real bed. We had decided to just buy a used crib until she’s ready for her big girl bed (which might be a while), but even used cribs can be well over $150 to find one that looks sturdy enough to hold an active toddler. So we’ve come up with a plan! As crazy as it sounds, Doug’s basically going to build a fence around Macy’s twin matress. Our hope is that it will make her feel like she has the security of a crib, but get her used to having more space at the same time. We’ll see how this goes…it’s a true miracle that first borns survive! 🙂

That is too funny! I sent you a message about Eli’s current “bed”….a pallet on the floor! You buy nice furniture for your child’s room and where do they sleep…on the floor! Go figure!
