Logan has been having some bad tummy issues for about a month. He was waking up every hour screaming with gas pain. After talking to a friend who’s son went through the same thing, I decided to cut some “problem foods” out of my diet to see if that helped. So for now I’m not eating any dairy products, eggs, tomatoes or tomato products, carbonated drinks, chocolate, citrus fruit or juice, garlic, caffeine, mint, leafy green veggies, onion, or spicy food. On Sunday I met a lactation specialist who also suggested not giving him vitamin D drops. There isn’t research on it, but she said they were requesting that the FDA do a study.
Every day (and night) seems to be getting a little better. Today he slept in his papasan chair for a 3 hour nap without a single bit of gas! A few days ago he laid on his back and dozed on and off for a couple hours without any problems. It’s so reassuring to have these good times and I’m praying that they just keep getting better!!

By the way LB, this is my child who wouldn’t sleep without being in a tight swaddle a couple months ago…obviously he weaned himself off that because this is how he sleeps when he’s on his back. 😉
I’m so glad you are able to run some trial and error and then see good results. It would be frustrating if nothing changed AND you couldn’t have caffeine!! 🙂
Love the sleeping picture 🙂 so sweet 🙂
Hooray for sleep! And double hooray for fewer tummy troubles!! Sleep and a happy baby are precious things. 🙂
