One Week Old

Steven is one week old today! He’s out from under the bili lights finally so he doesn’t have to wear his sunglasses anymore and we can see his sweet face. I forgot to ask how much he weighs today, but I think he might be back up to his birth weight already. His lumbar puncture came back negative for any kind of infection in his brain. His ultrasound of his brain looked good. His nurse practitioner said that there is a part of one side that’s slightly bigger than the other part of the other side, but that it’s completely normal and fin. He’ll have another ultrasound before he’s discharged. He’s gone from eating 4ml every 3 hours to 8ml every 3 hours. He’s taking one of his feedings a day with a bottle and the rest are through his feeding tube. Overall he’s doing great!
