Doug has been very motivated to get things done this weekend (and thank goodness he is, because my motivation ends at getting off the couch). He decided to hang the letters that I bought to spell Macy’s name. I LOVE IT!! It makes us both want to finish her room so it will look like a little girl’s bedroom instead of a pink room with random bed-like things all around.
Another craft that I atempted this weekend was making hairbows for Macy. Bows can get expensive so I decided to give them a shot. We had leftover ribbon from Macy’s letters so I used some of her ribbon for my first bow. Making the bow was very easy. I have some additions to make because Hobby Lobby was out of tiny white ribbon to go around the middle and I’ve realized that I need a different kind of wire (or might just use thick thread), but for my first try I was really excited about it. Macy loved her new bow and wore it the rest of the night. This girl’s going to have LOTS of bows!!!
