Catching Up

There are a lot of things that I still need to go back and post just so I’ll have them for my memories and rather than a zillion little random posts, I thought I’d throw them all in one really long one (or a few kind of long ones). 😉
FIRST EGGS & TOAST
I specifically remember taking pictures of Macy’s first breakfast of eggs and toast, so I had to do it for Steven too (I hope I remember for Logan!).  They were a hit with the little guy!

After I took Steven’s picture, Macy asked to have her picture taken too…after I picked up the camera from dropping it when I fainted in disbelief, I was happy to snap a picture of her breakfast as well…that she even smiled for!

DADDY’S BOOKSHELF (aka My Incredible Husband)
We have a thick wall separating the living room and the hall.  The top half is cut out, but the bottom half is just a thick waste of space (At least that’s how Doug has always seen it in our house of little storage).  He’s threatened to cut into that wall to make extra storage since we moved in and finally one day something clicked and he started cutting.  Steven helped measure…because Steven would be happy helping Doug do ANYTHING…this little boy LOVES Daddy!

Then Doug started cutting…

It took him a couple of days to finish, but I’m amazed at the final product (I’ll take an after picture soon…I went to take one today, but the books weren’t cooperating in showing it’s full beauty, so I decided to try again when an adult has put the books away instead of a 2 year old ;))!  It’s the perfect place for the kids’ books that used to be taking over our living room.  He’s planning on cutting out another shelf on the other side of the outlet that he might put doors on…be still my heart. 😉
DOUG’S BIRTHDAY
Doug celebrated his birthday…I won’t mention which one to protect the innocent.  As usual it was a fun filled day with family (and cake…and pie!)

You know which member of our family loves her dessert!

ZOO WITH DAVID ROSS AND EMMA
We were able to meet one of my sweet friends who I used to teach with (and who is teaching preschool this year also) and her kids at the zoo.  Macy had so much fun getting to run around the zoo with David Ross and Emma.

Okay, I think that’s all the pre-bed rest news that I have to catch up on… 😉
