Pop Pop's Birthday Bash

Doug’s dad had a big birthday on Saturday, so the family got a little surprise party together for him.  Doug “accidentally” left our laptop (yes, that’s my fabulous polka dot laptop bag) at his parents house when we went over for dinner Friday night, so they had to bring it back Saturday night after they… Continue reading Pop Pop's Birthday Bash

Real sippy cups!

Macy has finally made the transition to “real” sippy cups! She’s been drinking out of sippy cups that had a soft spout so they would still leak and make a mess while she was drinking. I tried sippy cups with a hard spout, but you have to suck on them really hard (like drinking a… Continue reading Real sippy cups!

Warning….

This what can happen to your mac and cheese box when you give it to your teething 1year old to keep her entertained in the grocery store. I thought she would shake it to hear the fun sound…obviously she had other plans. Don’t worry, most of it was just folded in the box and not… Continue reading Warning….

Picking up "O's"

Macy has really decided that she wants to walk in the past week. She’s been trying it out here and there for the past 2 months, but has been very hesitant with the idea. Broccoli holder

Macy has a funny habit of segregating her food on her tray. Her broccoli is her least favorite part of her meals lately so it quickly gets put to the side in her cup holder. She’ll eat it if it’s fed to her, but she has to be really hungry for her to eat it… Continue reading Broccoli holder

Self Portraits

I was trying to get some random pictures of Macy playing with Grams on the couch.  Instead I got a randomly artsy picture of Macy with daddy in the background and what would be a cute self portrait of the two of us (had I decided to put on makeup and hadn’t had my wisdom… Continue reading Self Portraits

4th of July Fun

We had a great day today celebrating our country’s independence with Macy.  It was fun getting to enjoy some 4th traditions with her. Macy got this outfit for her birthday, so she had to wear it today. 🙂 Macy took her first dip in her backyard pool today.  What’s the 4th of July without a… Continue reading 4th of July Fun

"Eating" with a spoon

I gave Macy a spoon to hold while she ate lunch today in hopes that one day she’ll get the hang of it and be able to feed herself. She didn’t throw it overboard so I thought that was promising. She even put the correct end of the spoon in her mouth toward the end… Continue reading "Eating" with a spoon

Father's Day

We went to Brian and Louisa’s house for a post Father’s Day lunch for the dads since we were out of town on Father’s Day. We had a great time getting to see everyone and Macy loved playing with her cousins.
