When I went to see Steven yesterday I discovered that he had been moved down to room 7. His first nurse in the NICU told us that the higher the room number the better your baby was doing…well 7 is the highest! It’s a small room with only 4 babies. It’s called the quiet room or the growing room. All of the babies in that room don’t have any medical problems except needing to get the strength to eat so they can go home. I was a little sad to leave his room 4 nurses now that we’ve gotten to know then for 3 weeks, but his nurse the past 2 days is really sweet.
He’s also been making eating progress. He’s been bumped up to 2 bottles and one nursing session a day because he’s taken a full bottle for the past couple of days. Yesterday he drank 20ml while he was nursing and today he smashed his old record and took 36ml!! He only had 9ml by his tube! I was really surprised because he seemed to sleep more than he ate today. Maybe he’s getting stronger so he can drink faster.
Please pray that he continues to do so well with his eating.

I love that picture! That one needs to be framed it’s so perfect
I personally think Steven heard that Grams might not be back till he was released from the hospital…so he’d better get busy with those feedings…haha!
OR…could it be that Steven’s sweet Daddy whispered in his ear that he needed the Saturn back, so please increase those feedings…nah…I like the first option better 🙂
so peaceful 🙂
