Mission Accomplished

Today will be Macy’s first day to have a formula-only bottle….12 days before her first birthday. When she was born I was determined to give her the best start to life that I could with nursing and pumping extra milk to freeze. There were definitely times that were hard (and painful), but in the end it has been well worth the enourmous effort and time that it took. Despite all the 2nd grade germs that I bring home, Macy has only been sick one time in her first year of life…that was a stomach virus that kept her down for about 4 hours (the rest of the women in the family weren’t so lucky). It has been a wonderful blessing to be able to provide this for our sweet little girl. Here is a picture of Macy’s last bag of milk…now I’m off to the store to buy actual food for our freezers! 🙂
