I thought this outfit might be too small…obviously not.
Little Comedian
Steven is always looking for ways to make us laugh. I was pumping in the living room while he was eating dinner. I heard him making noises in his high chair so I looked over at him…that’s when I realized that he was watching me pump and saying “moo”. Thanks buddy! 😉
Welcome home
I got the call from Logan’s neonatologist at about 10am yesterday telling me that he would be ready to come home 2 hours after his circumcision. I was elated, but sent into crazy mommy nesting mode. I was expecting a little more warning and our room needed some serious tlc. I got everything cleaned up… Continue reading Welcome home
Little Boss
Look who pulled out his feeding tube! He decided that he’s too big for such babyish things…and just to prove his point he’s done well with all of his feedings for 24 hours. Dr Bacon will probably circumcise him in the morning. She came by to check on him yesterday but it was before Dr… Continue reading Little Boss
Oh, and by the way…
I had my traditional post delivery breakfast of French toast the morning after Logan was born (I had to make sure that Logan knew he wasn’t left out). Karen’s sweet mom even went to ihop and brought it to me (she works at the hospital). It was so good that I ate it all before… Continue reading Oh, and by the way…
Logan's Update
Logan redeemed himself today. His doctor said that he’s done well with all of his feedings since our sleepy nursing attempt yesterday. I went to nurse him at 2 and, although he was wide awake, he wasn’t thrilled about eating. He got just enough to give him a warm snuggly feeling and would quit, but… Continue reading Logan's Update
Mommy spoke too soon…
This update’s a day late, so hopefully I’ll have more news later. Logan’s feeding tube was back in when I went to nurse him yesterday at 2pm. His nurse said that he took all of his night feedings and first morning feeding well, but that he was too worn out to drink his 11am bottle… Continue reading Mommy spoke too soon…
Look Mom, no tube!
While I was visiting yesterday, Logan’s doctor said that they were going to try giving him all of his feedings by bottle (and I could nurse twice). He’d been doing well with his 4 bottles a day so it was time to make the big jump to 8. When Doug went last night his feeding… Continue reading Look Mom, no tube!
Big Boy
Logan has been moved out of his isolette and into an open air bassinet. He’s doing really well holding his temperature. It was so nice to see him in a real bed and with clothes on! He’s doing well with his bottles and is up to 4 bottle feeds a day (I can nurse during… Continue reading Big Boy
First Bottle (and diaper change)
After talking to Logan’s doctor yesterday, I was shocked when i walked in today and his nurse told me that she was about to try to give him a bottle…and I was there just in time to give it to him myself! His doctor said that he could try a bottle 3 times a day… Continue reading First Bottle (and diaper change)
