Macy had her first “half” birthday yesterday…she turned 6 months…so to celebrate she had her first rice cereal. I’d been planning on giving it to her all week before her last meal, but her night schedule has been really unpredictable because she sleeps late when I don’t have to work. I finally decided that if she was ever going to eat real food it would have to be during the day. I practiced giving her some milk on a spoon last week so the spoon wouldn’t be such a shock and it must have worked because she did really well! She made a sour face after her first bite (which I didn’t catch on camera!), but other than that she seemed to like this idea of food.
Macy waited excitedly for her cereal.
and had a full tummy by the time she was finished. Hopefully her second feeding today will go just as well. 🙂
