Macy gave up her pacifier when she was about 8 months old and moved to her thumb. I wasn’t crazy about the idea since you can throw a pacifier away, but thumbs are kind of important. Thankfully she only sucks her thumb when she gets tired, so hopefully she’ll break the habit before college. 😉
Now that Steven is home I’m reminded of how important pacifiers are to our babies. Steven is a VERY loud baby! He doesn’t cry much, but this boy can groan, moan, and grunt with the best of them (sleeping with him around is a little tricky). I’m hoping that he will pick up Macy’s thumb habit so we won’t be quite as dependent on the pacifier as he is now, so imagine my glee when I caught him like this…
I know it was an accident, but definitely a glimmer of hope. 😉
