Steven has officially been home for 10 hours and I think he’s decided to stay. 😉 It was almost bittersweet to leave the NICU. After sharing so many intense emotions with people and forming relationships over the past 5 weeks it was a little sad to say goodbye. There are some incredible ladies there that we loved very much!
It was really exciting to have our son feel like he is our own now. Macy reacted well to him. She was very curious, but couldn’t get too close since she’s still coughing with a runny nose. She did give his feet some sweet big sister kisses though. 🙂
So far Steven has continued to be a good sleeper. He’s been snuggled in his bassinet and happily sleeping since we got home (with short meal breaks). He and I just took a nap with all of the lights off and I realized that it was the first time he had been in the dark since he was in the womb 5 weeks ago! This is also the first time he’s been in silence…I’m glad he’s tollerating dark silence well, because we’re quite a fan of it around here! 😉

So happy he is at home with you all. Can’t wait to meet him one day…he will be big and strong by the time he makes it to Mississippi. Now, “Auntie LK” needs to go get him a baby present 😀
