Mom and dad got to Columbia on Friday afternoon. We decided that it might be best if the came straight to the hospital and Doug could meet them here with Macy. My hope was that Macy would be so distracted by seeing Grams and Oppie that She wouldn’t be scared by what was going on around her. The plan worked pretty well. She was really confused about why she took a 20 minute ride in the car and then saw Grams and Oppie, but she didn’t freak out which was my goal. She sat in mom’s lap and looked around the room for a long time. They went to see the babies in the nursery (Macy’s FAVORITE hospital activity) and then went home so everyone could get some rest. A very successful first visit! 🙂
