30 Day Mom Challenge: Days 6-9

Day 6: Bake, make, or buy them their favorite food.
When I asked Macy and Steven what they wanted to eat this is what they said:
Macy – ice cream (probably because she already knew she was getting some after school. When I asked her the day before it was peaches. I think her favorite thing to eat is whatever she knows she will get.)

Steven – honeydew melon (I think he just likes saying “honeydew”)

Logan – milk (I didn’t even have to ask)
Day 7: Leave a sweet note for them.
Honestly, I didn’t do this one. I meant to leave a note in Macy’s car seat for her to find in the morning when Doug took her to school, but it didn’t happen. Hopefully one day…
Day 8: Calculate how many more weekends are left until your child graduates high school.
Seriously?! Math?! I have a hard time trying to figure out when Logan should eat…and that’s only adding in increments of 3! Thankfully I have a “resource” to fall back on. Conner’s 2 girls will graduate the same years as Macy and Steven (you might call it cheating…I call it genius!)
Macy – 780
Steven – 858
Logan – 930 (this was my own math…so it’s probably WAY off)
Day 9: Picture yourself at your child’s age. Try to remember how you felt.
I have very few memories from when I was 3 (and none before that).
I remember feeling like a princess when I got my 1st pair of black patent shoes; I remember feeling very guilty after I soaked my grandmother with a sprinkler in my kiddie pool; I remember feeling terrified after a friend’s big sister told me that the gummy worms she was eating were made from real worms; and I remember telling all of the kids swinging on my swing set not to swing too high because it wasn’t secured in the ground and worrying that they were going to tip it over.
That’s about it, but even in those few memories I can see a lot of Macy and it reminds me of how real emotions are when you’re 3.
