Macy…3 years & 2 months

If I had to describe Macy in one word at this point in her life it would definitely be “big girl” (yes, I know that’s 2 words, but you know what I mean). She has taken a lot of big steps in the past 3 weeks that I’ve been off bed rest…mostly because she had to before school starts and I was out of commission for the past 4 months.
Macy is still our sweet, silly, and sassy little girl (I doubt that will ever change). She loves her brothers. Logan would be her baby if I would get out of the way. She’s getting better with understanding how to be gentle and the boundaries she has to have with him, but she’s always checking on him and I know she’ll be even more help as he gets bigger. The biggest thing she’s doing to help is to distract Steven. Macy’s great at playing with Steven while I’m busy with Logan. She thinks Steven is hilarious (and he is) and squeals when he “chases” (aka follows) her. She’s also the best speech teacher Steven could have. He’ll say anything she asks him to!
She’s beginning to test and use her independence a lot more.  She’s almost 100% potty trained (only 1 accident in 2 weeks!), she’s drinking out of a big girl cup, and she’s dressing herself (still wearing the clothes that I pick out, but she puts them on).  She’ll tell you what you should be doing and will argue with you that the sky’s not blue… I don’t think she’ll have any trouble keeping her brothers in line. 😉
Doug and I took her to the zoo last Saturday to celebrate her 1st poop in the potty.

After the zoo, we went to Chickfila for her first ice cream cone.  It was HUGE and she ate every last bite…except when Doug and I had to lick the drips…and there were lots of drips. 😉

Omie had promised Macy a smiley face cake when she pooped (we were all about some big bribes for pooping).  The cake had some troubles, so Omie made cupcakes instead.

I’d say she had a pretty sweet day!
