Steven…18 months

Doug and I were talking last night about how we can’t believe that Steven’s already 18 months old! It feels like he just turned 1…and I know that he’s not going to slow down.
His personality is really starting to shine since he’s talking more. He can say a lot of words (I’ll have to make a list one day…note to self) and is responding to some questions. He’s ALL BOY! This guy loves to get into everything and climb on anything he can reach. He doesn’t like really loud noises, but other than that seems to be fearless. Steven might be the most ticklish kid ever and he has the best belly laugh to go with it (so you know I have to tickle him all the time). He loves baths (and trying to splash all of the water out), dancing and music, and soft things. He thinks Macy hung the moon and loves to play with her, but he also enjoys hanging out by himself. He’s a passionate little guy. He loves to be held and snuggle, but on the flip side, if there’s something he can’t have or gets frustrated he’ll show you a world class temper tantrum.
Steven still only has 4 teeth, but the poor little guy has been working on 4 more for MONTHS (he has the slowest growing teeth I’ve ever seen)!! He weighs 24lbs.  (the 60th percentile) and is32 inches tall (the 40th percentile). He has completely caught up developmentally to his peers!! I was so excited to be marking all the “right” answers on the paper at the pediatrician’s office!!! 🙂
Yesterday was a big day for Steven because he realized that he can climb in the chairs by himself (and I lost 2 years off my life)…

And he started trying to feed himself. He did really well for his first try and he loves the independence!
