Macy went for her 2 year checkup on Monday and Steven went for his 4 month appointment yesterday…yeah, everyone at our pediatrician’s office knows us on a first name basis by now. 😉
Macy had a great checkup. She was nervous, but Grams came with us for extra distraction. Thankfully Macy really likes her doctor so she was pretty cooperative…and doing shots at the very end really helps! Macy is 27 1/2 lbs. and 34 1/2 in. She’s in the 75 percentile for weight and height (which I was excited about because she’s usually in the 50th percentile or lower for height…maybe she does have some tall genes in there somewhere!)
Steven and I went for his checkup yesterday. Dr. Thomas was really happy with his development. He’s not reaching for things yet (he hasn’t realized that his hands are attached), but other than that he does everything a full term 4 month old does! He weighs 12 lbs. 5 oz. and is 23 1/2 in. long….and he’s on the percentile chart now! He’s in the 7th percentile for height and 5th percentile for weight (with all his rolls I would have thought his weight would have been higher). He’s growing so fast that I think he’ll be almost full term “normal size” at his 6 month appointment.
Here’s my happy boy when I laid him down on the table to strip him down before he was weighed…he cracks me up! 🙂
