I have to admit that I wasn’t thrilled about the possibility of snow. I still have a chip on my shoulder from last year when snow and ice kept me from going to the hospital to see Steven twice and knocking out our power so I had to pump in the car…not the fondest of memories. But the snow came anyway (lots of it…for SC) and it really wasn’t bad this year. We never lost power (praise the Lord!) and it kept Doug home from work for a couple of days (we LOVE when daddy is home!).
Doug had pulled a muscle in his back over the weekend and Steven was sick when the snow came, so we don’t have many good pictures. My morning sickness was in full swing, so I wasn’t super excited about doing anything…especially going outside in the 20 degree weather. There was so much snow that Macy couldn’t walk in the yard and by the time we got out in it there was already a layer of ice on top…made for tricky snow play. Despite all of our hurdles, Macy LOVED the snow….LOVED IT (obviously her daddy’s girl because mommy would be much happier on a warm beach).

Macy attempted to build a snowman on the driveway.

and on the sidewalk (poor kiddo, I hope it snows again next year so she can have some real snow play).

We were outside 15 minutes before I was frozen and ready to head back in. I think Macy would have stayed out all day…even though you can tell she was cold.

Yep, that’s all for the snow pictures (sad, huh)…hopefully, Macy won’t be the only one excited about playing in our next snow.
This was my favorite part of the snow…my “winter window”.

Oh, and there was one other member of the family who enjoyed the snow. Montana, our husky/wolf/panda mix, LOVES snow. Harley, our hound/deer/neurotic mix was curled up in a ball on the blankets in the shed while Montana laid out in the snow. He would even get up and move to “new” snow when his snow got too warm. Cracked me up!

Yay! I love the snow pictures! Sorry it wasn’t the best snow conditions ever, but I love that Macy got to have fun and attempt a snow man 🙂 Wes said our snow was too shallow to even make a snowball and he came right back in! We both vote for the beach with you 🙂
