School was canceled today on account of both of the snowflakes that fell this morning in the midlands, but despite the lack of snow, I was determined that Macy would have her first official snow day.
If you look very closely on Harley’s nose, you can see a snowflake (he’s thrilled). At 6:30am our yard actually had a light layer of snow on it…had I known it would be gone by 9am, I would have grabbed the camera.
We both slept in and had yummy oatmeal for breakfast.
Macy got bundled up and went out to play in the snow…sadly, this was the only snow left by noon.
But she enjoyed all 10 of the flakes that she saw.
So we came back in and I made delishous potato soup for lunch. We spent the rest of our snow day relaxing and enjoying being cozy at home. Even though there wasn’t much snow, it was a great snow day! 🙂
