Big Day

What started out as a normal Sunday turned out to be a big day for us…well, not huge big, but bigger than usual. The first “big” event of the day was Macy riding in the new car for the first time WHILE she faced the front for the first time. We put Macy’s carseat rear facing in my car because we installed it early in the summer and I wanted her to face the rear for a little while longer, so this morning when Doug installed the other seat in his car he put it forward facing. Macy had a fun ride on the way to church and said “tree” on the way home. I guess I’ll have to turn mine around or she might revolt. 🙂
The next “big” event of the day was the Belles and Beaus consignment sale half off day….that’s right, half off consignment (does it get any better than that?!). I’ll put pictures at the bottom of this post (I’m doing this from my phone so all the pics have to go in at one time). I got 7 shirts, 2 sweaters, 7 pairs of pants, 5 pairs of pajamas (2 are very cute for holidays), a robe (my favorite piece!), a dress and a skirt for church, a formalish black coat for church, and 2 pairs of shoes (one pink patton leather pair is brand new from Gymboree)! And everything was less than $2!!!! I’m still on my awesome deal high! 🙂
The last “big” event of the day was when I told Macy “no” when she was about to put the computer chord in her mouth and she said it back to me!!! Of all the words she says (and she says A LOT) I was kind of hoping that she wouldn’t learn this one until she was a little older. Since she does know the word know my plan is to say it as little as possible so I won’t overuse it and encourage her to use it…we’ll see how well that works. I guess I better stop typing and start thinking of alternatives for “no”. 🙂
